When she said it I heard her through my hunger and frustration. I then heard her through what I’m used to hearing from her. I then heard her from a place of someone endevouring to understand her on her own definitions and feelings.
Even then, I needed to hear her further from the position of one who sought to help her and love her with all that I have for her benefit.
It took a while to listen carefully.
