Patience, Conforming and Reconditioning

There’s a lot going on with him.

He doesn’t say much when challenged about it, but it’s clear that there’s a lot going on with him. though he may bottle it all within. It is seen a little in his desire to fit in and feel like he belongs. His disruptive behaviour has brought some concerns from his loved ones, but these are few bouts in what’s generally acceptable behaviour in certain circles.

They hope he will settle down soon. They hope he will adjust soon. They hope it will just be a phase he’s going through growing up and soon he’ll catch on and blend in with everyone else.

Not that they are keen on knowing him. Not that they are in it to truly help him on the voyage of true discovery and understanding of who he is and how he can engage constructively in the world. That is not their goal. It is not their desire. They are only concerned that he conform to the environment and participate in the functions that he has been set. This is designed for him to further conform to their expectations of what life is about.

He may kick off from time to time now, but there is the thinking that he will settle down eventually. This will be unfortunate for him seeing as though for him to truly engage with what life is, he will have to remove a significant amount of all that they’ve endeavoured to get him to conform to.

After their years of efforts, it’s going to take some job to recondition him.
