One of the things I find remarkable about life is how at times of challenge and tumult, the right person can emerge to help out.
That person won’t be there all the time, indeed they could be on the scene for a few moments or an otherwise short period of time. Yet their presence and impact in that time can have lifelong repercussions.
There are people in my life who I am so grateful to have come across. They were right there when I needed them and when the need was over, they were gone. I moved on, but never forgot the impact they made to my life.
From my experience, as well, it really came across as though people would come in and leave not just a new appreciation for people, but also a new appreciation for God. He was reassuring me that there was merit in loving Him and loving people. In doing so, even when I least thought it, He could nevertheless bring such a person in my life at the right time.
Not only that, but if I kept myself humble and sensitive, there might even be the occasion where I could be that person for someone else.
I understand that there are lots of reasons not to trust people and to be sceptical of others. There are reasons, however, to believe that in our time of need, He might have just the person for us, if we have the heart to be receptive.
