It’s quite something to read this Psalm.
Remember when God restored us before? We need Him to restore again. And as we cry out for Him to restore, so we return with joy at the response He gives.
When He restores.
The restoration is the taste of the Eden lost. When He restores it is the glimpse of the life we had always experienced in eternity past. His restoration is the return to right relationship with Him where He is ours and we are His. When that happens there is rejoicing. When that happens there is laughter. When that happens there is renewal and regeneration.
When that is lost, when that is absent, the sense of missing is distinct and profound enough to feel like outcast. It’s something unmistakable, undeniable and irrefutable. It’s something worth crying out for. Crying as we sow in the hope that one day we will reap, if we faint not. And what will we reap?
Restoration – When He Restores.
For His Name’s Sake
