It’s tragic that so many make the claim that they speak or act for God not truly understanding Him and His ways.
So many atrocities and devious things done for the God they truly do not know. It makes it all the more important to know Him, trust Him, care for the things He cares for.
The Psalmist could write about really struggling when he was afraid and thus reassuring himself with the one he trusts to be ever faithful and ever true. That degree of trust is the basis on which the assertion can be made – God is for me. This assertion isn’t one made lightly – it was made under trying times. But it is an assertion that ongoing relationship allows us to grow confident in saying.
It’s certainly one worth reflecting on.
For His Name’s Sake
