Sit and Learn

There’s this guy at the gathering, I love him. He’s got children and grandchildren. He’s been around the block more than twice. He knows what’s what. What I love about him is how he doesn’t impose himself on anyone. He is not imposing and he doesn’t demand your attention.

It’s exactly because of that humility and maturity that I love to sit and learn from him. No bitterness, no malice, just homely, considered self-effacing wisdom. Things like that, that is good stuff to have in life. I trust if I make it to that age, I can have such a Christ-honouring character.

For His Name’s Sake
