Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns; you shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them. (Exodus 26:1 ESV)
Breakdown in relationships can usually be put down to a lack of clear communication.
One party misunderstands the other or chooses to assert their own view over what ever is being said by the other. One party gives vague general directions expecting the other party to discern what is meant, while the other party needs the specifics. Whereas one party feels as though the other is demeaning and belittling them.
One thing that is evident in the communication between God and Moses is that those issues were not in play especially on occasions like this. God knew what He wanted in a tabernacle. He did not leave it general vague directions. The importance to Him left Moses in no doubt of the worth of recording the specific instructions carefully. Measurements, material, colour co-ordination, number of hoops – the detail to depict the beauty and brilliance of the place where God would tabernacle with His people.
It’s good to know that we serve a God who does care about giving attention to detail. It’s an encouragement to be so minded in the things that matter in life.
