Pray For Who?

Praying in line with the heart of God means praying for all people.

That’s difficult to accept when we consider some of the categories in the ‘all people’. There are some people who hardly seem to merit a truly heartfelt prayer. Yet God still wants to save them. Despite their behaviour and words, as that is the heart of God towards them, that should be our heart towards them.

Thank God, then, for the heart He puts in us to beat with His impulses and His desires. Thank God that as we approach and engage with Him, He allows us to have our minds and beings more in line with who He is and who He wants us to be.

That still takes time, that still taks a growing understanding of who we are in the light of Him. That is possible, though because of His great love for us that compelled others to pray for us, who may have been deemed to be the hardest cases of all.

That’s why it’s good to pray in line with the heart of God.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
